Flute teacher classes - improve your technical playing.  

I work through Trevor Wye's Practice book,  Moyse 'de la Sonorité' and T and G technical exercises in an enjoyable environment.  I particularly enjoy working on technique with students through some of the classic exercises written for the Boehm flute influenced by the French Flute School

Students delve into the intricacies of tone production, articulation and phrasing.  We work together on such issues as performance,  performance anxiety and diploma exams.  If you need to find some inspiration and ideas for practising do get in touch. 

For adult flute players

Chamber music coaching, particularly flute quartets are one of my specialities (with morning coffee and tea an integral part of the session!)   Students may also learn to play piccolo, alto and bass flutes in a fun and enjoyable session while getting to know other flute players of similar standard.  

Flute Choir Afternoon 3 hour session

I also organise termly flute choir afternoons.  These are open to all players 18 - 80, of grade 4 standard and above, providing an ideal way of making music together, making friends, improving flute technique and enjoying tea and cake! Contact me below for details.

This is probably the best way of getting to know other flute players of similar standard, as well as having a genuinely fun experience which will really benefit your playing.

Recorder Ensemble

I run a friendly, small recorder ensemble on a Saturday morning from 10.00 - 11.00 am.  Anyone who plays the recorder or who played at school and would like to play again, do get in contact.  All sizes of recorder  welcome.
